2. Sitapur : 06 Blocks

Perkins India since 2016 with Jayati Bharatam is adding value and expanding services for children with multiple disabilities and Vision Impairment.

We jointly collaborate on Project IDI (Identification and Intervention) an initiative to identify children with MDVI and ensure that they have access to early intervention and educational services that prepare them for school.

The project initiated has worked with nearly 500 beneficiaries providing direct services and above 700 beneficiaries indirectly with documentation, School enrolment, nutrition, physiotherapy and Aids and appliances till now. Screened children under the Project are getting continuous support of education and health in Intervention centres running at Gosainganj and Sitapur.

MDVI Children along with the parents and their siblings have also been facilitated with Family-outing which along with their orientation creates awareness and also includes health check-up for their eye, skin and dental care.

Nearly 800 stake holders of community including Asha workers, Aganwadi Workers have also been trained through the project for assistance of the MDVI Children.
